Event date (20%)

Check when the event happened. The event should be CURRENT, i.e., have happened less than three days ago. Importantly, often, this is not the date of the source that you are reading or watching.

For example, firefighters may have found a lost puppy on Monday, and you may have read about it from a CNN article which is dated Wednesday. In this example, the event date is Monday.

Please check carefully. If the event is not current, do NOT tick this box; do NOT start to write about it; check whether there is a more recent event, or a new development, to report.
