Presentation:

  - Write the headline in present tense.
  - Write the article content in past tense.
  - Use active voice in both headline and content of the article - not passive voice.


Content:

  - Avoid plagiarism (write in your own words only).
  - Note you are releasing the content under a copyleft licence. Please check the website footer for more information about this.
  - Follow neutral point of view. Do not write press releases, one-sided or opinion pieces.
  - Create inverted pyramid structure of article with 5W in first paragraph and then details, followed by relevant background.
  - Aim for accurate reporting. Do not include incorrect information, nor omit important information.
  - Follow neutral point of view. If reporting someone's opinion, attribute it.

Formatting:

  - Ensure a geo location is specified for the news piece to show on map.

Procedure:

  - The page has to be approved by a volunteer peer reviewer.
